2.2 The business's own domain
A domain is the business's own web address, like amasstitches.com. The business pays for it yearly, and it belongs to the business. Keep it short and easy to say on the phone. If it's taken, add the town or try .com.gh.
Buy one on Lynk: Account & Settings → My resources → Domains → Register a domain. Search the name. If it is available!, you see the price per year. Add privacy protection if the owner agrees, Add to cart, check out and pay. Auto-renew is on, so it renews before it expires.
Connect it: on Website, find Your web address.
- From Lynk: pick the domain and click Use for my website. It usually works within an hour.
- One I already own: Lynk shows two records to add where the domain was bought (in its DNS settings). Add them, then click Check now. Updates can take a few hours.
Business email. With its own web address, a business can have email like you@yourbusiness.com instead of a Gmail, from Business email in Lynk, where Lynk has it switched on.
