1.3 Going live, and when payments go wrong
Going live is the owner's job, on their own login. You guide them:
- Verify: Account & Settings → Account & security → Verification. Lynk asks Is your business registered? Registered businesses upload the certificate; others give their Ghana Card details and a selfie with it. Then Submit for review.
- Live payout account: Payments → Settlement, in the business's name, then Submit for review.
- Switch to live mode on Payments.
Never use your own MoMo number as a client's payout account. Never keep copies of an owner's documents.
When payments go wrong
| What happened | What to do |
|---|---|
| "It says pending" | Wait. With MoMo, check they approved the prompt. Don't start another payment |
| "It failed" | They try again from the same link |
| "I paid you on MoMo directly" | Check the business's MoMo, then Record payment |
| A screenshot as proof | Check Transactions. A screenshot isn't proof |
| Charged twice, or payout missing | Note the reference from Transactions and contact Lynk support |
Never ask anyone for their PIN, OTP or card number.
