2.2 Campaigns that people read
Grow → Campaigns → New broadcast
- Channel: SMS (read by almost everyone) or Email.
- To: the audience. From: the name people see.
- Message: write it, or Start from a ready message, filled in with the business's details. Anything Lynk doesn't know stays in [brackets]; Lynk won't send a message with brackets left.
- Put {first_name} where the customer's name goes. Write it in my words rewrites it, with Undo.
- Check the line that says how many it sends to and how many SMS it uses.
- Tick that everyone on the list agreed, and Send broadcast.

A good SMS: who's writing in the first words, one offer with a deadline, one link, under 160 characters, no emoji (an emoji makes each part 70 characters).
How often: two to four a month, never more than one a week. Campaigns use the business's SMS or email allowance.
