1.2 Find businesses that need you
Signs a business needs you
| You see | They need |
|---|---|
| "The money doesn't add up"; the owner never leaves the counter | The till and closing the day (Course 1) |
| A booking book full of crossings out | Calendar and deposits (Course 1) |
| Payments to the owner's own MoMo, no record | Lynk Pay and invoices (Course 2) |
| Busy on Instagram or WhatsApp, no website, not on Google | Get found (Course 3) |
| The same old customers, nothing new | Grow every month (Course 4) |
Where to look: your street, your market, your church, family businesses, Google Maps (businesses with no website or few reviews), and Instagram (many followers, only a WhatsApp number). Start with one or two kinds of business: you learn faster and owners recommend you to each other.
Start with a question, not a pitch. How do customers book with you now? · How do you know at night that all the money came in? · Do people find you on Google? Listen, and write their problem in their words. Then: Can I show you something on my phone? Five minutes.
The five-minute pitch: repeat their problem; show it working on your phone and let them hold it; the result and the price; then ask Shall I send the proposal today? and stop talking. Let me think about it? Send it today and call on the day you said.
Message one person at a time, never in bulk. Never promise results you can't deliver.
