2.3 Build it, and test it three ways

Build in the owner's business, from your Builder area: Businesses → Open, and check the bar says Building for their business. Some parts stay with the owner (money, payouts, sales, who's on the team, staff pay, closing the day, customers' messages, buying a web address). For those, sit with the owner and guide them on their own login; they're marked (owner) below. Use this checklist; tick only the parts in your plan.

Foundation (always)

  • ☐ The business in your Builder area (Add a business or Ask an owner); the owner has two-step sign-in on (the introduction)
  • ☐ Business set up by chat; How you work with the business's words, steps, details and checklists (Course 1 Module 1)
  • ☐ Account & Settings → Your business complete: hours, location with landmark, prices, delivery, payment (feeds the 24/7 chat)
  • ☐ Features: only what the business uses

Getting paid

  • ☐ (owner) Lynk Pay set up; payout account in the business's name; tested in test mode (Course 2)
  • ☐ (owner) Verification started for live mode

Getting found (Course 3)

  • ☐ (owner) Domain bought by the owner, then connected by you, or a plan to
  • ☐ 24/7 chat answers five customer questions correctly
  • ☐ Google profile requested; the owner knows how Google will check
  • ☐ Links page (if on); website on the owner's phone
  • ☐ Sent for approval, and live (until you're certified, every website waits for Lynk's check)

Bookings or orders (Course 3 Module 3)

  • ☐ Services or products complete, with photos
  • ☐ Booking rules or shop settings agreed with the owner
  • ☐ A test booking or order handled end to end

Running the business (Course 1)

  • ☐ Shops: products, till settings, suppliers, Simple mode or logins; (owner) closing the day
  • ☐ Booked services: specialists, chairs, calendar, balances, memberships if useful
  • ☐ Jobs: steps, required details and checklists, step rules, documents
  • ☐ Rentals or parcels: rules, roles, areas and fees
  • ☐ (owner) Team with the right roles; branches if any; staff & payroll and expenses

Growing (Course 4)

  • ☐ Customers marked as agreed only when true; an audience
  • ☐ One flyer following the seven rules; one offer; one campaign planned
  • ☐ Post for me (if Facebook or Instagram is connected), on Ask me first

Test it like a customer, a worker and the owner. Before handover, test everything three times, as three different people. Use test mode for payments.

As a customer (on a phone that isn't yours, or a private window)

  • ☐ Find the business on the website; is it clear what, where and how to reach them in five seconds?
  • ☐ Ask the 24/7 chat three questions
  • ☐ Book or order, and pay (test)
  • ☐ Get the confirmation, reminder or tracking texts
  • ☐ Cancel or change a booking as the customer

As a worker (sign in with a worker's role)

  • ☐ Can do their job: sell, book, move a job
  • ☐ Can't see what they shouldn't (the business's money, Features)

As the owner (sit with them, on their login)

  • ☐ The morning brief arrives
  • ☐ A day can be closed
  • ☐ Overview, Income & expenses and Results make sense
  • ☐ Lynk AI answers: How were sales this week?

Fix everything you find. Write down what you fixed.
