4.1 Jobs, from enquiry to paid
Agree the steps with the owner, four to eight of them. A phone repair: Received → Diagnosing → Waiting for part → Repairing → Ready for collection → Collected. Set them up in How you work (Module 1), with the details each job needs and any checklist.
Taking in work. On the work page (it uses the business's word: Jobs, Cases…), click New: a title (Samsung A14, cracked screen), the customer, the due date, the step, and the business's own details. By chat: New job: Kofi Boateng, iPhone 11, battery drains fast, ready Thursday. From an enquiry in Leads: under Won it?, tick to open a job for them and Mark as won. Lost it? Mark as lost with why.
Moving work. The Board has a column per step; a full column is where work is stuck. Check Overdue every morning. In a job: choose the next step, Assign someone, tick the checklist, add an Internal note (never shown to the client). If a required detail or checklist item is missing, Lynk won't move it on. Close it at the end.
Documents and agreements. Under Documents, type what you need (ID card) and click Ask for it: the customer gets a link to upload it. Then Approve it, or Ask for changes. For terms, write them under Agreements & policies, then use Get acceptance link in the job; Lynk records when they accept.
Tell the owner: in Grow → Automations, Text me when work is done. Quotes and invoices for jobs are in Course 2.
